Of course Leina's first year of life wouldn't be complete without a lesson in Lego playing. She got her first chance to play Legos with daddy the other day and she is a natural. Her favorite was the elephant from the circus train! She is just getting so big everyday. I am sure there will be many more videos of her to come now that she is getting more animated.

Doctor Visit
Leina saw the doctor today and she is up to 18lbs. She eats two solid food meals a day and is doing great. She can sit on her own, roll over, and is starting to learn to crawl. She is just barely starting she is trying to get her legs underneath her. She is even starting to pull herself up from sitting to standing and from laying down to sitting up. I can't believe how much she learns each day. There still are no teeth but they will come eventually. If I can get the blog to work I will be posting a picture of Leina playing with Legos for the first time.
Leina eating turkey
Leina is eating more and more new foods everyday. We recently started her on meat and she is not a fan for now. I have to say I don't blame her. If I had to eat that stuff I would gag too!

5 Month Old Leina
I know I haven't been very good about keeping the blog up to date. Work started again and I have been busy. Here is what Leina has been up to in the last month. On Sept. 6th Leina rolled from her stomach to her back and then a week later she rolled from her back to her stomach. Now she rolls over from her back and does the "turtle" on her stomach because she forgot how to roll back over. We went to the doctor to put her back on her acid medicine and she weighs 14lbs 8oz. and is 25in tall. She loves to babble, smile and if you are lucky she will laugh from the bottom of her belly. We started eating solid food. She started on squash and liked it, now we are on to carrots and she ate them up so fast. I will post pictures soon. I am hoping to get video of her rolling over but it is hard because it is like she has performance anxiety. The teething continues, she still has all the symptoms of teething but no teeth yet. I think and hope it will be soon. I will try to get some new pictures up in the next couple of days!!

4 month Check Up
Leina went in for her 4 month check up. She weighs 13 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long, that means she is now in the 61st percentile for height and 37th percentile for weight. I am sure she is going to be a big girl. She can now laugh, coo, smile, stand with assistance and do everything a normal 4 month old baby should. She is growing by leaps and bounds. I have to go back to work starting this Monday and I am a little sad. She will be staying with Great Grandma Stringer (or GiGi as we call her) on Mondays and Fridays and with Oma (Phil's Mom) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. I am really thankful and glad that they will be watching her because I didn't want her to go to a daycare. I hope she behaves herself and they don't quite because she is cranky. Thats how its going lately she is cranky, I think she is getting a tooth and then the 4 month shots didn't help either. It will pass soon I hope. We went to SLC last weekend and she had a blast meeting the rest of the family. Pictures to come! She is starting to do some pretty cute things so hopefully I will be able to get some cute video of her for you all!

Butterflies everywhere!
Leina went on a trip to the Butterfly house recently. It wasn't her first visit but it was the first time I could get a picture of her with a butterfly on her head. Of course it didn't just land there Phil put it on her but it was still cute. On another note she is doing great. We have our 4 month appointment with the doctor right before I have to go back to work which means another round of shots. I am trying to weigh her in between appointments my best guess is we are up to 13 lbs. She is talking lots. I am going to try and get it on video so you can hear her. She has the cutest voice. She can blow raspberries and if my suspicions are right she might be starting teething. She is just doing so well I am very proud of her.

Baptism Day

Well Leina got baptized on Sunday July 18th. We took the family and everyone met us in Ouray. She did really good only cried once. We had fun hanging out with the family in our favorite little town. I also saw the lot where my Great-Grandma's house was and I stole a picket off the fence that was still there. It was an all around awesome day. Here are some pictures of the main event, ENJOY!
