Leina's Time in the NICU

Leina was in the NICU for 23 days. Here are just some pictures of our journey. They go from most recent to oldest so her first pictures are at the end of the post. I will explain them quickly. Leina loves time with Grandma and that is her favorite position to lay. She still loves to lay on our chests. We had a little set back and had to go on oxygen but she still loves bath time to matter how many tubes she had. She loves her time with Daddy. The next picture is when she had one of many bottles. She still eats with her hands up by her face. We have a mad baby in the next picture. She only likes her bath when she can be in the tub. This was the first bath Mom gave her and it was a learning experience. The next one was taken when she a week old. She had a little trouble keeping her temperature up so she was in an isolete for a while. I was only able to hold her for a little bit. While i was holding her the nurses had us do Kangaroo Care where the baby is undressed (diaper on) and put on mom's chest. That was so peaceful and helped she got out soon after that! The next pictures are her first few days in the NICU not much happened we were just glad she was here safe and sound.
